Welcome to the FirstClass Client for Mac OS, version 3.5. FirstClass integrates e-mail with group conferencing, access to existing corporate databases, forms processing, real-time discussions, and online communications functions. Its graphical user interface makes FirstClass easy to use.
This ReadMe file describes the new features of the FirstClass Client for Mac OS, version 3.5. It also describes the requirements for the software, provides instructions for installing the FirstClass Client and contacting SoftArc's Technical Support department.

Requirements
To install the FirstClass Client for Mac OS, you need a computer with:
• Macintosh System 6.0.4 (or later)
• at least 8 megabytes (MB) of free disk space , if you install all components
• at least 2 MB of RAM for 68K computers
• at least 3 MB of RAM for Power PC's
Add additional memory to improve performance.
Special Notes
This section describes issues that you should be aware of while using the FirstClass Client for Mac OS.
• A message that has been deleted or moved by a recipient cannot be completely unsent. For example, a message that has been filed (that is, moved into a folder) by a recipient before being unsent by the sender can still be opened and read by the recipient.
If, after unsending a message, you receive a warning from the post office that indicates that the message has been deleted, routed, or moved, be aware that the message cannot be completely unsent.
• When you are working offline, Conference Permission forms appear empty, and the List of Subscribers only includes your name.
• The FirstClass Client bitmap viewer can only display bitmaps in 8-bit color (or less). If you need to view a bitmap of greater depth (for example, 16-bit color), you must first convert it to 8-bit colour.
• The Using FirstClass Supplement incorrectly states that the Personal Post Office is installed at the root of the volume selected. The FirstClass Personal Post Office is installed in the same folder as the FirstClass Client application.
• FirstClass Personal does not replicate uploaded files. However, after replication the red unread flag is removed from uploaded files in conferences or your mailbox on the FirstClass Server.
